Course Content
This qualification is designed for a retailing assistant in the Seafood Retailing section of a food retail market. Holders of this certificate will be able to demonstrate a range of seafood retailing skills including: the storing and maintaining of seafood products in storage and serviced cases; weighing, wrapping and packing seafood products for cross counter sale; handling fish; and describing fish spoilage and health and safety skills required to work as a seafood retailing assistant. This qualification is designed to provide a pathway to higher qualifications such as the National Certificate in Distribution (Level 3) [Ref: 0991], National Certificate in Retail (Level 4) [Ref: 0995], or the National Certificate in Distribution (Level 4) [Ref: 0992].
